DEMODICT USAGE

A pratical example: You are not sure, whether you should write "color" or "colour". So, type these two words into Democratic Dictionary and press the [DIC IT!]-button.
Below the input forms you will see the results. The word with the most hits is bold printed. In our example it is the word "color".

But you can also look for phrases. You have to quote your phrase using the quote character ("). Look at the picture left. Press the [DIC IT!]-button to get the results.
The phrase with the most hits is printed bold.

Notes:
The number of hits given in this description may vary. During our tests we discovered that google.com produces different results with the same inputs.
You may get different results by using google directly. One reason is that you use a country specific google (like google.de) instead of google.com. Another reason is the browser. We discovered that a query generated by IE leads to other results than a query generated by Netscape's browser. This changes only the absolut numbers. The proportion is approximately the same.
Furthermore, all number of hits must be seen as approximated numbers!
