Overview
You will help us design parts for wearables, mostly OpenEarable, using CAD and print them with state of the art filament and SLA 3D printers.
We would want you asap, as our previous CAD HiWi unfortunately graduated (KIT bureaucracy takes 1-2 months, so the start would be 1-2 months after being offered the job).
Your Profile
You should:
- be fluent in either English or German
- be highly organised and structured in your work
- have strong spatial reasoning and 3D visualisation skills
- have experience with CAD software and complex 3D CAD designs
- be practical and comfortable working with your hands (SLA prints often require careful post-processing and detailed finishing work)
- be able to come to TECO regularly to start and post-process 3D printing jobs
It would be great if you:
- have experience with Fusion 360
- have experience with 3D printing
- plan to stay at KIT for several more years (ideally, we are looking for a long-term HiWi)
We Offer
- Absolutely flexible working hours, except one fixed short weekly meeting
- Contribute to cutting edge research projects
- Cool, modern 3D printers :)
