Overview
The project systematically reviews 83 studies on affective wearable haptic interventions. It examines targeted affective states, haptic modalities, body locations, intervention mechanisms, and application contexts, highlighting dominant approaches such as vibrotactile calming interventions as well as emerging thermal, pressure, and social-touch designs.
Our Goal
Our goal is to provide a structured understanding of how wearable haptics can support affect regulation and mental well-being, while identifying key design dimensions, research gaps, and future opportunities for effective, context-aware haptic interventions.
